My Employment History

At the age of 15, I landed My first job. I began working at a family-owned restaurant, located in Scarborough, as a waiter and dishwasher. I worked for about a year before moving to Brampton, where I got a job at Mandarin as a Busboy. My duties included collecting used dishes to be washed and putting out newly wash dishes in serving area. I did not last more than 6 months due to school. I had to resign. A couple of years later, a year before going to college, I got hired at a Vietnamese restaurant waiting tables and serving customer’s food. Again I did not stay for more than a year. College was somewhat far so it would be difficult for me to work unless it was nearby school. That’s when I found out that the Student Union food service was hiring. I was hired as a food server. Then the college went on strike and I was forced to quit. I went back to Brampton and ask one of my previous managers if they needed any one. Luckily I was given a chance to work at a Vietnamese restaurant again. A year later they decided to close their restaurant and I decided to focus on school. It wasn’t to long until I got a job at Shoppers Drug mart as a Merchandiser and I proud to say that it was my first retail store.
